It began with a man whose quiet heart shaped everything we are today.

In 1983, Mr. Yew Chan Leng founded Nan Yuan Textile Import & Export Sdn Bhd with an entrepreneur’s courage and a deep empathy born from his own health struggles. He believed strength lived in small, unseen acts of kindness—and he lived that belief every day. He helped without seeking recognition, building not just a business but a legacy of humility, compassion, and love.

When he passed in 2007, he left us more than a company.
He entrusted us with his values.

With the support of my mother and my wife, Annie, we set out to honour his life by continuing his work—carrying forward not only what he built, but how he built it. The journey has had challenges, but every step echoes his resilience, and every achievement stands on the foundation he laid.

Along the way, I discovered something extraordinary in Annie. She doesn’t just reflect kindness—she radiates it. Her warmth, empathy, and instinct to support others remind me every day of the spirit my father embodied. This energy is what inspired our next chapter.

In 2023, we transformed Nan Yuan into NYNY—a renewal of our heritage for a new generation.
It is a modern expression of the same timeless values: kindness, gratitude, and inclusivity.

The first “NY” honours Nan Yuan and my father’s legacy.
The second “NY”—affectionately pronounced “NieNie” by our customers—beautifully reflects the heart of our family today: Annie, and our daughter, Sara, whose name inspired our sister brand, Sara Ann.
